Hi,

I am finishing up a Masters in Social Studies education and
wanted to inquire about what other types of jobs align with
this degree outside of actual teaching jobs. Given the
current job climate, my concern is about finding a job, and
if I can't, I obviously want to look elsewhere for
employment. At this point, I remain somewhat confident that
something will open up, yet am still realistic about the job
market. I do have several years of business experience and
can imagine exploring opportunities in the non-profit sector
while waiting for the market to improve.

One additional question - I am considering obtaining a
Special Ed. Certification. Does anyone know if while in the
process of obtaining the degree, I can apply for Special Ed.
positions within the DOE?

Additionally, please limit negative comments that are not
productive nor stimulating. Thanks.
