As a Pre- K teacher, we work closely with Social Workers as we are
assigned one that comes to our school each week to work with the
children. Our social worker recently mentioned that if you have a
strong second language that is needed by the DOE, you have a better
chance of getting a job. In my school that would mean Korean,
Chinese and Urdu! They already have many bilingual Spanish/English
speaking social workers.
